Filming at St Audries Park

St Audries Park was one of the very first venues we ever captured a wedding at – and we’ve been trusted, recommended suppliers here for an incredibly long time since. Its grandeur is clear to see, and nestled in the heart of Somerset, surrounded by countryside (and the famous resident deer), it really does feel like a getaway.

The Orangery: beautiful light, whatever the weather

The Orangery is where ceremonies take place, and it’s one of our favourite spaces anywhere. Whatever the weather is doing outside, it’s always a delight inside – windows all around, with white columns and paintwork that bounce the light in from every direction.

The light is so consistently perfect in here that we often choose it for formal group photos, rain or shine. And couple shots in the Orangery? An absolute must.

A moment just for the two of you

St Audries offers something genuinely unique straight after the ceremony: an extended “quiet time” for the two of you. It’s a chance to take in what has just happened, in a peaceful space with canapés and a drink, before heading back to your guests for the drinks reception. We love it – it’s a moment couples rarely get anywhere else.

The staircase (and the confetti)

And we haven’t even mentioned the staircase yet. It’s a hugely popular spot for confetti, and our one tip is simple: stop for your kiss on the middle landing, before the last flight of stairs – that’s where the light starts to drop off.

Room for everyone – and a party to match

With so much space, St Audries is brilliant for all-weather weddings and big guest lists alike. The huge dancefloor even has a balcony overlooking it – and if you want more of a nightclub vibe for the after-party, ask about the venue’s second dancefloor space.

Our top tip: plan your confetti exit down the staircase – and save your kiss for the middle landing, where the light is at its best.
