Filming at Kingscote Barn
Kingscote Barn is one of our favourite local venues – just 8.1 miles and 16 minutes from our base – and somewhere we’ve captured lots of weddings over the years. It’s also where Sam’s sister got married, so we can tell you first-hand: it’s a good one.
Views worth booking for
The view from the lawn terrace is honestly worth booking the venue for on its own. It looks out over open farmland and fields of sheep – a beautiful, peaceful backdrop for your drinks reception, your portraits and everything in between.
A rustic, understated Cotswold barn
The barn itself is Cotswold stone, rustic and understated – it lets your day take centre stage rather than competing with it. Indoor ceremonies take place in the barn, and the balcony gives us one of our favourite shots of the day: a group photo of everyone, taken from above.
Two outdoor ceremony spaces
Outdoors, the ceremony options have doubled. Alongside the Linhay, you can now say your vows on One Tree Hill – on top of the mound, under the tree, with that farmland view stretching out behind you.
Made for the drone
Drone shots here are epic. The barn, the hill and the patchwork of fields around it look incredible from above, and give your film some of its most cinematic moments.
Brilliantly organised
We love how well weddings are organised at Kingscote. The day flows, everything runs to time, and that leaves us free to focus on what really matters: you and your people.
Our top tip: plan your drinks and portraits around the lawn terrace views – and save five minutes for an everyone-in group shot from the balcony.

Have you filmed at Kingscote Barn before?
Yes – lots of times over the years. It’s one of our closest venues, and it’s where Sam’s sister got married, so we know it inside out.
Can you get married outdoors at Kingscote Barn?
Yes. There are now two outdoor ceremony spaces: the Linhay, and the new One Tree Hill, on top of the mound under the tree. Indoor ceremonies take place in the barn itself.
Can you take a photo of all our guests together?
Yes – the balcony in the barn is perfect for a group shot of everyone, taken from above.
Do you use a drone at Kingscote Barn?
Weather permitting, yes. Kingscote is one of the best venues we know for drone shots – the barn, the hill and the surrounding farmland look epic from above.
Do you need to visit Kingscote Barn before the wedding?
We’re capturing you first and foremost, not the building. We always arrive early to walk the venue and plan the best spots, so you don’t need to arrange anything.
